Make A Mug Workshop

1pm - 3pm Sunday 26th April at Headrow House Leeds LS1 6PU

Learn how to hand build your own ceramic mug using stoneware clay!

In this workshop you will be walked through all the different hand building techniques used in making ceramics and guided by Nina, owner of Ceramic Room, to making your very own mug! No need to stick to making a mug if you have anything else in mind she is happy to help with that too.

Decorative slips (colour pigmented clay) will be provided to add colour and pattern to your vases. After the workshop Nina will put each piece through two kiln firings, the first is the bisque where your work will turn from clay to ceramic and then the final is the glaze firing where she will clear glaze all works to give a quality finish.

Please expect around a 4 week wait to receive your vases back due to large quantities and drying times. Nina will email all attendees when they are able to pick up their work :)

All materials needed will be provided in the workshop so just bring yourself!
